The Digestive Diseases Research Institute (DDRI) at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) was founded in 1993 as the first research center for gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases in Iran. The Institute has won numerous honors and awards in medical research both on a national and international scale. Researchers from the DDRI have also received scholarly titles and research awards for their outstanding scientific and research activities.
